Richard Sexton HERRIN Richard Allen to be with his Lord at 12:10 a.m.Friday, March 12, his home in Herrin. Richard was born May 29, St Louis but spent most of his life in Herrin. He loved life and had many friends. He never met a stranger. Rick had a passion for motorcycles and NASCAR races.He worked construction and in his younger was a certified aide.He loved the elderly.

Richard is survived by his sweet Ann he called his baby girl; mother and and Bill Gray; sister, Rachette and Joe Fiorenzi; and Destiny Ogden; and Chris Jones; and Alan Stilley; Sexton; stepsisters, Robin and Jeanne Sexton; and Kelly Gray; adopted father for nine and Wanda Simmons; stepmom, Frasier; special Delaney; aunt and uncle, Mary Jane and Ken Cooper; aunt and and Don Gaddis; aunt and uncle, Connie and Dale Conley; aunt and and Danny Verga; great-aunt, Katie Neilson; great-uncle, Corky Hopper; aunt, Charlotte Verga; his mother and special Sexton; special and Joe; and many friends. Richard was preceded in death by his Sexton; his Lee Sexton; grandparents, Anita and Charlie Verga; and William Sexton; and special Neilson. Helen was born April 28, Williamson daughter of Elmer and Nettie (Davis) Borum. She married Warder Stotlar on June First Christian Church parsonage in Marion.He preceded her in death March 29, 1965. Mrs.Stotlar was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion.She was also a member of the Clio Hospital Library a board member of Marion Unit II Foundation.In the 30s she worked at CIPS signing people up for Public Works.She was also a homemaker. Survivors include two and Mary Ann Stotlar of Marion and Richard and Anita Stotlar of Marion; five grandchildren, Sally Stotlar of Denver, Brian and Skyla Stotlar of Ellen Stotlar of and Patrick Woytek of Lemont and David and Jenna Stotlar of Marion; five Stotlar, Amelia Woytek, Karsten Stotlar and Madeline Woytek; and Smothers of Marion. (Furlow) passed away at 3 a.m.Friday, March 12, her home in rural Benton. Marilyn was born March 2, Christopher, the daughter of Earl and Frances (Bennett) Furlow. She was a 1972 graduate of Zeigler-Royalton High School and earned her associate degree.Marilyn was a member of the Eastern Star of Eagles of the Elks of Benton. Marilyn was an avid camper and enjoyed travel- ing.She loved her family and she was known for playing jokes on. She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother that will truly be missed by all.

Survivors include her son, Shane Thomas Brown and his rural Benton; and Dale Deweerdt of Mulkeytown; (Bennett) Furlow of Mulkeytown; three Connor and Caitlyn Deweerdt of Mulkeytown; Galloway of Scott of Furlow of Furlow of Christopher and Wilma Macari of Christopher; and many close friends and fam- ily.She was preceded in death by her father; and her and Lillie Fox. Clara Edwards ELDORADO Clara Evelyn at 2:15 p.m.Friday,March 12, Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado. She was born Dec.5, daughter of John and Verna (Keasler) Hausser. On Sept.3,1950,she married Orval Edwards; he sur- vives.A Hendrick of East Alton also survives. Suring her lifetime she worked as a in World War telephone operator and a secretary for Dering Coal Company, Southeastern Illinois Cooperative and United Methodist Church. Gilbert was united in marriage to Dimple Chamness on June Paducah and together they shared more than 40 years of marriage until the early 1980s. On May was united in marriage to Elsie (White) Simmons in Creal they shared nearly 25 years of marriage.

When he was worked in the orchards near New Burnside and later worked as a laborer in the Civilian Conservation Corps building the Ordinance Plant near Crab Orchard Lake.He then enlisted into the U.S.Navy and after being only seven days before receiving an honorable medical dis- charge.After he returned home from the Navy he worked as a coal miner for 14 years working in the Ed Gentry Mine near Crab later for Peabody Mine 43 near Harco.After leaving the worked as a custodian for Carbondale Community High School for 20 years until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of Creal Springs United Methodist Church and liked to read his Bible daily.He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Elsie Creal Springs; daughter and son- and Randy Jackson of Herrin; eight grandchildren and their Wagley of Bayless of Rock Gee of Dawn Davilia of Mountain Bayless of and Bart Hagston of Murphysboro, April and Scott Wilmouth of Carbondale and Dalton Travelstead of Carterville; eight great-grandchildren; Newbold currently of Ullin; sister-in- Travelstead of Marion; family, whom he loved as his own, including his four stepchildren and their Girtman of Simmons and his wife, W. Simmons and his wife, Carterville and Carole Jones and her Vero Beach, 11 stepgrandchildren; nine great-stepgrandchil- dren; four great-great- stepgrandchildren; and other extended family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant Fern Travelstead; Travelstead who passed at age 49 in October of 2002; Travelstead Jr.who passed away in 1994 at age 14; Travelstead who passed at age 17; four Carl and Clarence Travelstead and an infant brother who was only three days old; and two sisters- Travelstead and Hazel Travelstead.
